Hello.

This is a selection of work I've done in recent years.

I like programming best when combined with design to solve problems for real people, so generally I design and code user interfaces, though I'll dabble in game dev and print/crafts as well.

UBC Computer Science Communications Committee

Organization: UBC Computer Science Department (chair: Dr. Steven Wolfman)

Role: Student Representative, Volunteer Organizer

Dates: Sept 2005 - Jan 2007

I was a vocal member of this committee (so sayeth the Wolfman), and helped brainstorm and execute plans for community outreach to various stakeholders/groups, including high schools, UBC CS Alumni, possible students, and of course, current undergraduates and graduate students.

I organized and recruited volunteers for some special events (we all took turns), and gave feedback on the design and content of outreach materials, created by then-CS Communications person, Gayle Mayvor.

This committee was a lot of fun, and I think it continues to improve on the culture of the CS community at UBC.
