We researched, designed, and tested a real-time transit advisor system for mobile devices (we used Flash Lite and the Nokia N80).
Assets:
- Design process documented on our flickr.

The concept grew out of the frustrations many transit riders experience on a daily basis, such as inconsistent bus arrivals, the need to reason under uncertainty (i.e. when choosing between different routes), and a general lack of information.
Our system allowed users to receive information associated with specified routes to make more informed decisions. For example, a user could receive data about busses for a nearby stop to determine which route to take. They could also receive notifications when approaching a stop while on a bus to determine if they should transfer to another bus or route.
Our project won Best Project in the class design competition.
